keep you clothes
looking new with a fabric shaver/lint brush
If you are like me and you wear a lot of black then you need this tool. This shaver will remove all the pilling on your knit sweaters and literally make them look brand new. The other side is a lint brush and it works better then any lint brush ive ever used (works great for dog hair too). I have two of these and keep one in my suitcase so I always have one on hand when traveling.

restore faded blacks
with this black clothing dye
This has been my secret weapon for ages. This little solution will get any of your faded jeans, t shirts, sweaters, etc back to a rich black. I've been able to prolong the life of some of my irreplaceable black pieces for years because of this little dye brining them back to life when they get too faded. They have tons of other colors too.

Keep clothes looking new with detergent for darks
I don't use regular detergent for my colored or black loads of laundry. I always use this. I use regular detergent on white and light colors but dark clothing fades super fast and this extends the richness of the darker pieces. I figure, You're going to use detergent anyways why not use one that will make your clothes last longer?

switch out your dryer for this clothing rack
When I lived in Bali I quickly learned that they don't use dryers there. They just hang dry everything.
So that what I did for years there and I noticed my clothes loved it. They did shrink, fade, or pill as fast if at all.
Now I live back in America and I don't dry about 85% of my clothes. I use this handy little rack, they sit on this overnight then I fold it and lay it by my washer.
Simple easy, good for the environment and will keep your clothes looking new for much longer.

keep clothes from stretching with thick wooden hangers
Using thick hangers is less damaging on delicate materials so I use these thicker hangers for my silk blouses or thinly knit sweaters so I don't stretch out the shoulders. This is a great way to keep your blazers with shoulder pads in great shape too.
